From Klamath Falls to Portland, our students embrace all that the state has to offer—including the open air of the expansive outdoors, the allure of the mountains and rivers, and local arts and culture that beckon outside our campuses. Lifelong Oregonians and transplants alike embed themselves in unique communities that offer hiking and camping, arts and culture, research, volunteer opportunities, and fun.
In Klamath Falls, students will find a community of outdoor enthusiasts, independent shops, farmers markets, and local gems like the Ross Ragland Theater, a renovated 1940s movie theater that features an eclectic lineup of shows and musical performances. Trails just off campus provide elevation gains and stunning views of Upper Klamath Lake. And a 45-minute drive is all that separates campus from Crater Lake National Park, home to America's deepest lake.
Our Portland-Metro campus in Wilsonville similarly offers easy access to the natural world—with trails nearby, Mt. Hood to the east, and the Oregon coast to the west. And the campus’ convenient location just outside Portland also puts students within reach of many museums, cultural institutions, and diverse and unique culinary options.
The bonds forged between the university and its communities—including local businesses, clinics, government agencies, and civic groups—are further strengthened by our students’ research and volunteer work with such organizations.
