Dr. Saiful Islam Joins the Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, and Technology Department at 九色视频, in Fall 2026. He earned his B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), followed by an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He subsequently served as a Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Associate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Georgia.
Dr. Islam鈥檚 research focuses on wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) of high-temperature materials, including refractory alloys and nickel-based superalloys. His work integrates experimental investigations, advanced materials characterization, and multiscale computational modeling to establish design rules for additively manufactured components.
