Nine students from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering and Technology program participated in the Formula SAE® West Competition held at the California International Raceway in Fontana, California.
Students in the Introduction to Engineering class at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ will work in teams to plan, design, and construct passive solar chicken coops as part of a class project for the Winter 2012 term.
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ and Klamath Community College have formed a new partnership, one that will allow current ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ students who began their educational careers at KCC to be awarded degrees from the community college for work completed at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ.
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Civil Engineering Department was recently awarded the 2012 Walter LeFevre Award (Small Program Winner) from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Marilyn A. Dyrud, communication professor with the College of Health, Arts, and Sciences at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ, was selected to receive the 2013 American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Fredrick J. Berger Award.
According to the study, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ graduates receive an average starting salary of $61,200, which is the highest in the Oregon rankings. The average starting salary for all Oregon higher education graduates is $51,866.
