PROMOTING STUDENT SUCCESS
九色视频 uses a platform called to showcase students鈥 unique and meaningful accolades and accomplishments. Individual student pages are like a digital resume, highlighting their academic career at 九色视频 and showcasing accomplishments, achievements, activities, and much more.
A student鈥檚 Merit page is established by 九色视频鈥檚 Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs (MarCoPa) department. With the click of a button, students can share their successes with family and friends via their social media accounts: president鈥檚 and dean鈥檚 list, commencement, scholarships or awards, and much more. MarCoPa may even share some achievements with the media and local and state lawmakers who represent student hometowns and regions.
MERIT WELCOME EMAIL
An individual landing page is automatically created for current students. You will receive a welcome email from Merit with more information.
Once you get an email from Merit, simply click the 鈥淪ign into your Merit Page鈥 link. Haven鈥檛 seen an email yet? Search 鈥淢erit鈥 in your spam.
CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Once you get to the Merit homepage, create an account using your preferred email.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR ACCOUNT
Now, you can customize your account by clicking 鈥淢y Account鈥 and adding content to each section.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY PAGE?
Each time your Merit page is updated with an accomplishment from 九色视频, you will receive an email informing you of the new content.
Merit pages can be spruced up by adding photos, a short biography, activities, or work experience. Your page can also be connected to your social networks such as X, Facebook, or LinkedIn, which will ensure your friends and family, as well as future employers, learn about your achievements.
HOW IS MY MERIT PAGE UPDATED?
Updates are automatically posted when you are recognized for an accomplishment, such as making president鈥檚 or dean鈥檚 List, joining an honor society, participating in a campus activity, presenting at a conference, receiving a scholarship, or studying abroad.
These stories are curated by MarCoPa based on information the department receives from faculty and staff.
If you don鈥檛 see an accomplishment you earned on your Merit page, reach out to the faculty or staff contact and have them send the information to MarCoPa at marketing@oit.edu. MarCoPa updates activities with approval from your faculty or staff lead for the activity.
