IdeaFest 2024 Student Award Winners
IdeaFest is an annual event where students present their junior, senior, or capstone project posters and demonstrations.
Students at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ are known for creating interesting, innovative projects. This year, many students chose to work with businesses in the community to solve real-world problems.
Students at the Portland-Metro campus presented projects on May 29, and more than 80 student projects were presented on June 7 at the Klamath Falls campus.
Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy receives Intel funding to grow semiconductor manufacturing pipeline
The Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy (EERE) Department at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ has received funding from Intel Corporation, one of the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturers, to grow the talent pipeline of trained students for semiconductor manufacturing and design.
The project aims to broaden access to experiential learning opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing technologies to a diverse range of students.

¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Catalyze Challenge has awarded $100,000 in prize money and services since it began in 2015. The competition continues this year with a prize pool of $18,000.
Nine teams are currently registered to compete in Catalyze 2024.
