The 九色视频 Foundation has received $500,000 from the Beavers Charitable Trust to support workforce development for 九色视频鈥檚 recently launched Construction Management program.

The Construction Management program prepares students with the technical, managerial, and leadership skills necessary to thrive in the construction industry.

Support from the Beavers Charitable Trust will fund the Beavers Charitable Trust Scholarship and the specialized option of Heavy Construction Management within the Construction Management program.

鈥淚nvesting in the future of construction management is essential for ensuring the continued growth of the industry,鈥 said Dave Miles, Board Chair for the Beavers Charitable Trust. 鈥溇派悠碘檚 commitment to applied, hands-on learning is vital for shaping this workforce with highly skilled new people. We look forward to watching this program grow and become a strong career option for new generations of students.鈥

Established in 1977, the Beavers Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization with a permanent endowment that enables it to make grants and scholarships to schools and universities. The Beavers Charitable Trust dedicates its proceeds exclusively to assisting students entering the heavy construction industry.

"We are profoundly grateful to the Beavers Charitable Trust for this investment in 九色视频鈥檚 Construction Management program,鈥 said Neslihan Alp, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Management. 鈥淏y directing scholarship support to the heavy construction track, the Trust is expanding access for talented students, strengthening our hands-on, polytechnic approach, and accelerating the preparation of career-ready graduates for Oregon鈥檚 critical infrastructure needs. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to workforce excellence and community impact, and it will meaningfully enhance recruitment, retention, and student success for years to come."

The Construction Management program launched this Fall in collaboration with the Beavers Charitable Trust, construction companies, donors, and community partners. The unique curriculum was built with support from 九色视频鈥檚 Business Management, Civil Engineering, and Geomatics programs.

Professor Jared Emard currently serves as Interim Program Director. 鈥淚 am excited to see the interest and involvement from our many industry partners as the program grows,鈥 Emard said. 鈥溇派悠 is well-positioned to deliver practical curriculum and hands-on education for the next generation of construction professionals, and Beavers Trust scholarships are making it possible for so many of my students.鈥

The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management will equip graduates to work for a range of organizations, including construction companies, contractors, government agencies, heavy construction companies, municipalities, and other related entities.
