The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation and The Commission on College Teaching (CCT) recently awarded the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation Excellence in Teaching Awards to Instructor David Johnston, Ph.D., and Associate Professor Kristy Weidman.
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation awards more than $1 million in scholarships
The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation surpassed a historic milestone this year, awarding $1,030,000 in scholarships to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ students. The new record was celebrated Oct. 29 as participants gathered at the Klamath Falls campus and live-streamed to a gathering at the Portland-Metro campus for the Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet.

The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation Board recently welcomed two new members, Annette Cole, a 1986 graduate of Nursing, and Daniel Withers, a 1970 Electrical Engineering graduate.
The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of alumni, community members, and business and industry professionals. The Board counsels the Foundation in supporting ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s educational, cultural, charitable, and service activities.

¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ (¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ) faculty and staff members were welcomed back Sept. 20 with convocation events, including award presentations and preparation for the start of Fall Term.
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ awarded a $1M federal grant for air quality research; faculty to create a new research center
An ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ faculty and student research team has been awarded a $1M federal grant to better understand the impact of poor air quality in Southern Oregon and to help hospitals prepare for capacity burdens that affect their operations. This grant is one of the largest research awards the university has received in support of interdisciplinary research.
